I remember the morning

when I entered Pučišća on a sailing boat as

if I entered an enchanted world.

The houses had the appearance of people...

But those early childhood images

sparkling in the depths of solitude,

in the whiteness of tiled roofs,

are escaping words and sink elusively,

submerging and emerging out of the abyss of time.
